Tell us about SA Boutique Photobooths
We are a boutique photobooth company in Adelaide – South Australia and the best place people can see what we are all about is via our website, we have all our packages listed, we have a blog also so they can see what we have been up to and we have client testimonials on there also.
What was the journey that brought you to what you do?
We started off as wedding photographers and wanted to offer something more to our clients. A cheap photobooth came on the market and we took that as a starting point to launch SA Boutique Photobooths.
What’s behind your success?
I think we are very reliable and our client and customer service and communication is very fast. We make sure we respond to every email and enquiry and we stay within our lane of having a modern boho vibe with a touch of glam.
What’s a mistake you’ve made that you’ll never make again?
To not value our product and employees enough to chase up people who damage our equipment and disrespect our staff. Sometimes that happens and we’ve let it go and worn the cost but unfortunately we can’t do that anymore so we are pretty tough on that aspect now.
What do you love about working in the wedding industry?
Our clients are amazing and the joy they get from seeing Nanna parading around with clown glasses on her face or seeing the kids giggling at their photos after a session is what keeps us going. We strive to offer funny memories but also memories of people who wouldn’t normally act silly – acting silly and just enjoying that moment in time. All our photos are high res too so we can offer our clients a high res photo of Nanna acting like a little kid again and having that real authentic smile on her face. We also just love … well LOVE. Weddings are always a happy occasion and we love working with fellow suppliers also and networking and supporting the industry as a whole. We get a kick out of people in LOVE 🙂
What are your predictions for the industry for the next few years?
That weddings will become more intimate, that wedding venues won’t be the traditional church or garden anymore – we are seeing some really authentic farms and private properties come onto the wedding venue market and that is so fantastic to see.
What’s the one secret about your field or industry you wish everyone knew?
That we don’t offer crappy low res files or blurry photos. Photobooths have advanced and as wedding and event photographers – we can offer high res, high quality photos that you can blow up and hang on your wall. You also don’t have to use props – just have a nice smiling loved up photo with your partner and family member and bang – you have a professional family photo!
What’s your main goal for the year ahead?
To technologically advance our photobooths and offer more variety in quality props, experiences and photobooths. All our photobooths don’t look the same, so we plan to expand our business to include more booths and more of a high end experience.
